I am putting a 2004r transmission in my 65 442. I have it in, drove it but I need a bracket for my Edelbrock 1407 carburator. I went on line and found an article from Transmissioncenter and matched up the bracket that they say fits. It is a Edelbrock 8020, I also saw that Edelbrock lists an 8012 for GM cars, I went I bought both nether are correct. I have Lokar throttle and TV cable and the Edlelbrock 1407 carburator. It doesn't seem that I can get the correct length of travel as it doen't swing far enough at WOT and it shifts early. I had it at the transmission shop and he told me of the bracket. Does someone know the correct item number? I hope I explained this clearly enough so people understand, I'd post a picture but I haven't been successful at doing that in the past.
