Driver side kick panel removal 1970 Cutlass

Driver side kick panel removal 1970 Cutlass
Hi Guys: when removing the driver side kick panel on a 1970 Cutlass do you have to remove the parking brake assembly first?

On my car, I don't and assuming its the same on yours.

No, the parking brake does not need to be removed. I installed aftermarket kick panels with speakers in my car and had no clearance issues.

Peter, I know it is not necessary to remove the ebrake for A/C equipped cars, but on the two non A/C cars I have done, the assembly had to be removed.

Ah - thanks Joe for the heads up. I do not have AC
I imagine the air door extends too far into the plenum.
