1971 SX born date 1st week of FEB; would this be a reasonable date for distributor? 1112033 0M 02

 

I say YES! Most folks will say that if it comes within a 2 month window of the build date of your Fisher body, that it would be considered valid. I take it a little further - out to 6 months. The reason for that is the original block on my '68 4-4-2 is dated "304" (304th day of 1967, or November 1, 1967), yet the build date on my cowl tag is "04A" (first week of April 1968). That's a 5 month difference.
