Dash Vent Duct

Dash Vent Duct
I have a 69 Cutlass w/ac, the rectangular flex duct to the side dash vents is in rough shape. I don't see it available anywhere. I'm confident someone has come up with a replacement. Has anyone tried squaring up 3 1/2" diameter flex to see if that works or have another suggestion?
thanks,
Steve

Vintage air makes adapters to fit the 2.13 x 2.63 rectangle found on the plenum and outer louvers. It is p/n 496083 and you should request (2) "S" clips per adapter. For the obround driver side of the plenum, there is no good solution other than getting creative.

I saw this on Summit's website. I was thinking about ordering one for my '68. It's an air cleaner intake duct that fits many jeep models, it's plastic not cloth if that matters to you. I don't know why the whole link didn't post but it's made by Crown automotive & the size is approx 3 1/2" x 2"

I'd suggest looking on Amazon for 'gaffers' tape instead of 'duct' tape. Gaffers tape is usually black and comes in the same size rolls. It's cloth based, easy to work with, and will adhere to your existing cloth and wire ducts much better that Duct tape which is shiny, slick and does not adhere well to those automotive style A/C ducts.

Phoenix:
The driver side duct is 2-1/2"x 3" square which equates to a standard size 3-1/2" round duct. The passenger side duct is 1-3/4"x 4" which equates to 3.66" round duct (not a standard size). If your ducts only have a few tears in them, they can be fixed with gaffers tape as was previously suggested. My passenger side duct was torn in the middle section. I masked off the damaged area and sprayed with 3M trim adhesive, then wrapped the tear with black gaffers tape. I then sprayed the whole duct with FlexSeal (the stuff you see on TV) which sealed up the pin holes as well as the gaffers tape and the duct is still flexible. Here's a pic:

I was thinking that if I could find 3 1/2" flex I could square it up and it would be a close fit but that square to round adapter would probably work nicely. Where is it from? Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll also reach out to Rocketman, oops, scientist.

Nice restoration on the duct. I have looked at Vintageair.com and the # doesn't come up. I don't doubt they have it but any chance you have a direct link?

By the way, I recommend sealing the adapters to the original components using HVAC foil tape: https://www.lowes.com/pl/HVAC-foil-t...pes/3381603586.
