Cutting Keys

Good Morning Olds Gurus
Does any one know if a Locksmith can get Key codes from an existing "worn original key" so new GM blanks can be cut to original specs ?
In other words a New GM Blank key could be cut as Original and not to the old worn cuts.
Would prefer to not have to be pulling apart my Cylinders if it can be done another less invasive way.
Thanks for any info on this, Just want to be educated before I start calling around.

Yes, it can be done. I've got the gauge and equipment to do exactly this. Of course, there can be some fine tuning required, depending on how bad the original key is. PM me for info.

Thank you Joe
I already have the New Blanks that I purchased online
If I cannot find someone local, I will contact you for sure.

Be advised that this requires a key punching tool, like a Curtis Clipper. Most locksmiths today only have the duplicators. Ask what type of machine they plan to use to cut the new keys.
