Best Repro Baaery Source?
I've used these guys in the past, I had problems with 1 of their batteries but they made good on it.

X2 on Antique Auto Battery in Hudson, OH. If their application guide still lists the R59, ignore it. Your '70 442 uses the R71S.
I've purchased two R71Ss from them. I much prefer the sealed model. It still looks just like the original but requires no maintenance. With the non-sealed model, even though I added electrolyte as required, it eventually went bad (albeit after several years). The sealed model has been flawless and holds a charge seemingly forever, even without a trickle charger.

I have used both restoration battery and antique battery. The r71s is cheaper at antique battery than restoration battery, plus antique battery manufacturers batteries for restoration batteries. Just my 2 cents
