Any ideas

I was wondering if anyone knew if I could use floorpans from a 1964 Impala in my 1964 Dynamic 88. I am having a hard time finding any decent used pans with out any rust on them. I have heard that alot of the B Body parts are interchangeable. Any ideas about this?

Most likely, yes. I used 59 chevy pans for my 59 98. fronts were right on but since it was a 98 with longer wheelbase the back floor pans were shorter.

Doesn't the Impala have an X frame? I doubt those floor pans would fit on the D88 with a perimeter frame.

I am not sure if the 64 Impala has the X frame as my 59 does. I was ***-u-me-ing that both 64 models had the same frames.

If the frames are not the same you may want to look at the 65 floor pans if they are produced.

64 Impala DOES have an X frame. If the delta is a perimeter they will probably not be common.

Yes. Lesabres have an X frame as well.

Floors are floors in my opinion. I used 67 Cougar floor pans in my 85 delta. Cut, weld, grind, repeat. Once it looks good enough, you're done.

And my 64 J88 does have a perimeter frame (as do all the 64 B/C body cars from Olds).

Odd that they did that...Did Buick use a perimeter frame as well? I wonder if the pans wouldn't be similar in a 65 then even if the shells are dramatically different.
