Ac exchange

Does anyone know will the ac from a 71 cutlass fit in a 68 cutlass both engines are 350

Need a little more info. Specific components to repair the 68 or a whole system for a non-ac car? The latter is a pretty big project and you would want a same year donor, maybe consider aftermarket.

Actually, everything that goes on the engine side of the firewall should interchange. They may not be identical, but they will work. The A/C control panel in the dash is different from 69-69 to 70-72. The underdash box should be the same but the vents and ducting is different.

The 68 had ac and was taken out by the last owner. Every thing under the dash is there but the compressor and dryer are gone.

Yes, under hood parts should work as Joe says, it's the controls and ducts that would have been an issue. Will be easier if you still have the stock pulley and alternator on the driver's side from when it had A/C. Will you stick with R12 or switch to R134?
