Hi Guys, Looking at getting a set of used sport mirrors. Seller has part numbers, but want to make sure they match...anyone have the part #'s off their sport mirrors for comparison? Thanks!
Here's info from what is on mirrors from seller:
Driver side: JC60383-401 06496
Passenger: JC60384-401 404494
Group 10.185 RH 406495 f85 - 2 Drs with sport mirror, (sport manual paint to match )
Group 10.185 LH 406494 f85 - 2 Drs/ with sport mirrors (LH remote control outside less escutcheon - paint to match)
If you get pics, the 70 mirrors are distinctive & one year only. The later ones are "egg shaped" where the 70 has a noticeable crease in them. There is also no visible mounting screws on the 70 mirror as they have two bolts that go through the door skin. The later ones have a mounting screw in the base that goes to a bracket that mounts on the door.
They need to be from the front.
Also be careful - These 70 (one off) mirrors are reproduced. The numbers you originally quoted don't come close to GM parts numbers. Ask if they are reproductions.
Those are correct 1970 only mirrors. Looks like originals too, the paint looks pretty well adhered and the line around the mirror housing is nice and sharp.
Ok, thanks. The top view just looked odd to me on the '70 mirror. I can pick up mounting hardware, but really want good base mirrors to start with here.
From what I can see in the pictures, it's just what Ron said about mounting. You'll have to remove the door panel to attach the RH mirror. There is a stiffener sold by InlineTube to reinforce the RS door where the mirror attaches and seems to mimic the LS door reinforcing. Looks like this: 70-72 Sport mirror attachment bracket

Allan, will I need two of these for driver and passenger sides?
^^^As noted, you likely will only need the passenger side to be reinforced. Check your drivers door skin. It should be fitted with this for the existing mirror. If it isn't, get a support for it too.
Ron, I don't think he had remote mirror on the drivers side, but I believe all the drivers doors were reinforced for the mirrors back then. Comments?

I'm not sure about all doors. I had a remote (in really nice shape actually) and it was reinforced
My car originally had the D33 remote mirrors on them from factory, but was supposed to have D35 Sport Mirrors(crossed out and hand written as D33) will I need to change anything else to put sport mirrors on? I will get the passenger side for sure now and check to see bracket on current driver side.
