1970 Passenger Side Sport Mirror

I FOUND A '70 PASSENGER SIDE SPORT MIRROR. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP.

Hello.

Looking for a '70 passenger side sport mirror - do not need the driver side. Unfortunately, someone vandalized my brother's 442 that was waiting to be restored. Among other broken items, the sport mirror was broken off.

Thank you,
Anthony

Hello,
I have a set of NOS '70 Sport Mirror's (Clam type or Cat Eye) what ever you want to call them in the GM boxes in primer from factory never painted or installed.....let me know if you have an interest.....sorry they will not be cheap....I looked for three years to find these.
If your looking for a driver part.... price will discourage you.....if you want points for a concourse car.....YOU WILL NEVER FIND BETTER EVER. P.S Original In the GM Plastic also.
Please advise if you have an interest for your project.

These mirrors are a one year only production. Finding OEM is hard, finding NOS (as already noted by DRXOLDS) is almost impossible especially if price is a consideration.

These mirrors are reproduced now though. I can't speak to the quality control, but they're available from Parts Place for 299/pair. I don't believe they sell them as individual pieces. Part number XP4579T

Hi Allan.

Thank you for the suggestion and information. While searching, did find out that Fusick sells the 71/72 Sport Mirrors individually.

Glad to hear you found what you wanted. Just an FYI though, you asked specifically about 1970 mirrors and that is what I responded to. I'm sure there are plenty of guys on this site who have OEM sport mirrors for 71/72 available for less than what Fusick is asking though.

EDIT: The 1970 mirrors are not the same as 71/72. Not sure how that became part of the conversation though.

Hi Allan.

Sorry for the confusion. I was checking all of the Oldsmobile part suppliers for '70 Sport Mirror prices after you kindly pointed out that The Parts Place had them, and just happened to notice that Fusick sold the '71-'72 Sport mirrors as a set or individually. Thought I'd mention it in the post so other enthusiasts would be aware of it.

Talking Replacement Sport Mirrors

Hello,
Don't want to pick on any vendor..... but a friend of mine bought a set of repro sport mirrors. Had they painted and they bubbled after 1 year. Had them paint again and same result.
I know the painter and trust his work.....so just a word to the wise. If any one else has this problem with paint let us know....funny there was a set on the bay a couple weeks ago and U guessed it the paint was bubbled.

Don't mind paying (unless it comes to taxes as long as it works !
