70 Monte Carlo steering gearbox?

My son and I went on a road trip last Monday for El Camino parts. To say it was a productive trip would be an understatement. The guy had restored several cars over the years, he said he just finished his last one, and was done. We went looking for a few things, he said if we take any, we are taking it all. Unfortunately, it was more than we could fit in the truck in one trip, we are going back for the rest in a couple weeks.

One of the things we found while sorting through stuff was a tote full of steering gearboxes. One in particular was labeled 70 Monte Carlo Big block. Is it anything special? Just curious why that one gearbox was the only one with identify marks.

F41 suspension package that came with the SS had a quicker ratio box.

Any way to positively identify a F41 gearbox from a standard box? We had plans to use a Jeep steering gearbox, is the BB Monte comparable?

I think it's internal only. They sometimes put Jeep boxes on Monte Carlos, so I would think so.
