70 F-85 question
What is the difference between the 70 f85 and 70 442
I found a f85 if i decoded it right, vin#332770M284005 for sale turned into a w30 442 clone and was wondering if parts will work from one to the other and what are the differences, whats rarer/ more valuable
to me they look exactly the same

The F-85, Cutlass, and 442 are all the same A-body platform. The differences are trim, upholstery, suspension, drivetrain, and what equipment came standard.
The F-85 was the bottom of the line Olds in 1970. Base drivetrain was a Chevy I6 and three-on-the-tree manual trans, however your VIN indicates that yours came with a V8 (350, probably with a TH350 trans). Base interior was a bench seat. The 442 base drivetrain was the 455 and HD 3spd manual trans, though few were made with that trans. Base interior was bucket seats (but the console was optional). Proving once again that rarity does not equal value, the F-85 is more rare, the 442 is worth more.
There are now more 442s on the road than Olds built.
