68 Hurst Olds Battery Question

I'm pretty sure that these cars were originally equipped with the R59 battery, but since it's a 455, is there a chance they came with the R71S (longer case)? It would require the longer battery tray and I don't know if that was even available in 68 in a A-body.
Thanks!

I believe the R-71 would be the correct battery for the 68 H/O.

Joe, I think the all the '68 OAI cars came with the R59 battery. The longer R71 would be in the way of the left intake tube. I know the parts book says '68-'69 f85 except "Hurst",but it shows the larger tray for the '69 Hurst only.
