i just purchased a convertable top cover boot and i do not see how to install the cover from the inside, also there are no clips attached to the piston covers inside the vehicle, can anyone send me pics or explain how to install the cover. im sure i will need to buy the clips for the piston covers and install them, but still i dont see where the cover boot mounts behind the seat thanks for any help always appreciated

Just above the seat back should be a metal piece that you can feed the plastic piece on the forward part of the boot into and then across the back of the top of the seat back. That holds the boot in place across the seat back.


On each cylinder cover there should be two snap receptacles. There should be two corresponding snaps on your boot that snap onto the cylinder cover on each side.


It sounds to me that you may be missing some parts. The metal piece across the top of the back seat is sometimes taken off and then forgotten when the interior is put back together.

If the cover is like the one for my 72 it should have a rounded lip that slides into a channel in the long black bracket that is directly in back of the rear seatback.
