67 442 cowl tag question

Are there any identifying letters on a 67 442 cowl tag that identifies it as a 442? I was told second hand that a Lansing car will have a V on it, typically on the lower left side. Mine says "5VY" and my neighbor's says "5Y." Someone told him his was a clone. Any insight on this? Thanks.

Yes. One with V is 442. One with only Y is not 442 just cutlass supreme. Hope this helps. This is concerning Lansing build cowl tags only. Fremont tags dont have this ibfo so their tag cant identify a 442

So 5VY is a 4-4-2 with deluxe seatbelts? Or is it still a clone?

Since it's a body code, I would think that the V specifically calls the 442 trim on the body shell, as in the trunk badge, and the blacked out upper taillights and trunk trim strip.
