66' Fisher Body Manual help

Uggh, the Fisher Body manual......it's good as in there's lots of detail, but my god it's gotta be the most unhandy thing to use. Could someone explain to me why in some sections they refer to the E body as a 49487 style as opposed to an E style? 49487 is Buick E body right? It's different than Oldsmobile E body?? Am I just missing something again?

The images appear the same to me. In some sections the E body isn't even referenced, only the 49487 style (like in the Door Window Assembly for example).

E Style not mentioned
E Style not mentioned

What's the confusion? Toros and Rivs are both E-body cars. When it refers to the 49487 style, that is specific to the Riv. If it refers to "E-body" or "E-style", that means all E-body cars.

Perfect example, right here. Removing the front door regulator assembly page 7-62 "All A-E-X & Z" Styles. It goes to great length to explain how to remove the window regulator from all the other body styles yet it then goes on to specifically neglect to mention how to remove the E body window regulator, only the 49487 style:

Yeah I can only infer that, in this case, the 49487 refers to the E body. I assume this is a mistake in the manual but you'll see this pretty often if you're looking for E body stuff in there.

49487

4 = Buick
9 = 9000 series
9000 series = Riviera
9487 = Buick cataloguing model designation
Riviera = E body

Another prime example. There's no reference for the Removal/Install or Adjustment of an E-body front door window assembly. Only a 49487 style in which they reference the E body figure 7-89.
