65 F85 Club Coupe tranny recommendations

Restoring a 65 F85 Club Coupe. Plan on
car being somewhat of a daily driver. engine will be the stock 400, will have disc brakes added all the way around. Looking for trans recommendations? Thanks

The 400 was only "stock" in the 442 or for police use. If you really have a 65 F85 that has an original 400 and it is not a 442, then it's definitely a former police or similar fleet car.

As for the trans, give us a hint. Manual or automatic?

I would go with a turbo 350 or a 400, my station wagon is a 330 4 barrel car and has the two speed in it, I will eventually replace it with a turbo 350 being an exact fit. On the freeway it sounds like it wants to shift one more time with the original trans.
