1970 OAI hood painting - tooth installed first?
I searched but didn't find... I'm getting ready to shoot my '70 OAI hood. The bottom side is black, and I'm done with that. My question regards the hood tooth, and if it is painted while attached to the hood, or painted separately? I know on some original hoods I've seen evidence of top color overspray on the under hood black as if the tooth was installed when painting. Every original tooth I've seen is red oxide primer on the back - but what about the bottom edge? Primer or paint color? Thanks for any direction - it's not a show car, but I like doing things the way they were originally
