1968 Shift Cable Length?

Searched but found no reference, point me if I missed already existing data.

Need 1968 specific Cutlass console shift cable dimensions with TH400; eye to eye and maybe bracket to bracket lengths.
Previous owner converted from column to console and I'm not sure if current cable, (just broke), is correct for year, but eye to eye is 29-3/8" +/- 1/8" and bracket to bracket is 17-1/2". I don't think shorter will reach, mine came out slightly waved but straight shot. I also don't know how the thru-hole on floor was determined. It is coming thru at the point where the trans. extension housing joint to trans. case is located, so I guess shifter mounting could be off in fore and aft directions.
I'm finding several aftermarket sources and they describe them as too short, such as 28-1/2 eyes & 16 brackets" and 27 eyes & 14" brackets.
What is a good replacement source? I know cheap and like to avoid it
.
Thanx

1968 Shifter Cable Source

I am still be interested in finding accurate length dimensions for 67-68 shift cable, but I want to share that the best source I found at this time and date is from Shiftworks.com. Hurb was knowledgable and they offered a 1968 Chevelle cable that was manufactured for them in the states, P/N K100, 30" length with adjust-ability built in. Not sure exactly what is adjustable and I'm guessing the 30" is overall length. Sounds like it will work well. They also have GM #3956765, their P/N C100 which has apparently similar if not same dimensions for a little more $.
I feel I made a decent decision as far as getting a quality piece and wanted to pass it on. I was not able to find anything else that appeared OEM quality.

Quality Replace Shifter Cable

Received K100 cable from ShiftWorks.com in Rochester, NY. The bracket locators are adjustable on both ends which made it easy to adjust eye-to-bracket length. I found it great to tailor it to requirements at shifter and then at trans. for perfect fit and function. Eye to eye is 29-1/2".

Cable is very excellent in quality and smooth operating. The cable sheath is not just plastic tubing but is metal corrugated armor tubing not unlike electrical conduit under a shrink tubing material. Ends and crimps are sound.

I am very pleased I found something so well made and thought someone else may be able to use this info.
