How do you remove the Starfire/Olds scripts from the front fenders, there appears to be no access to the nuts holding them on. Any help would be appreciated

I believe your going to have to remove a few bolts from the lower fender or the wheel well to gain access.

Correct, the fenders need to come off (or at least loose) to reach up and access the nuts.

Thanks for the info, appears to be a lot of work just to change damaged scripts, though there should be an access panel but I guess that would be to easy, oh well.

Access panel? Why? These are not items that wear out and need to be replaced frequently. Keep in mind that auto designers need to balance assembly cost and serviceability with styling and performance. Adding the cost and weight of access panels for every emblem on the car really makes no sense. More to the point, that access would need to be through the kick panels, which would add a potential leak point for water entrance to the interior.

More to the point, try working on a new car sometime, where accessing even normal maintenance items like the starter and alternator require removing large numbers of components. Replacing the starter on our Volvo V40 requires removing the radiator, intercooler, and electric fan module. Accessing the starter on a Chrysler Pacifica requires removing the grille and front fascia, radiator, and front motor mount. Even then, it wasn't exactly easy to get to.

Those scripts were bolted on before the fenders were hung.
