I like it. (I'd give the guy 3500 and tell him to keep the rims.)

If it's solid, lean on him and see if you can get it for two grand. If not, then $2,500 ought to do it.

Good luck!

I'm guessing that's also the bracket for the AWOL AC compressor.

I tried he wont budge if you guys saw the underneath. Wow talk about setup, exhaust air bags springs front end work, rust free underrcarraige. puts my 70/71 cutlass to shame underneath.
But it still needs much work the dash is wasted. needs full interior plus paint, factory wheels. the 20's are brand new just dirty. i can recoupe some money there. needs buick mags or cragars somthing other than 20 inch hoopdeee's adds up Quick
$3000 for car $3000 for paint, and $3000 fo interior. for under 10k would have a decent Toy. but still a plain jane skylark with a big block Ahh maybe steel wheels with the big block would be cool?l

poverty caps are soooooo played out. i dont get the obsession with them, nobody wanted them back then.. they wanted the good wheels but couldnt afford them. I put brand new Buick Rallys under my 70 stage 1 and they are gorgeous. i would do those with the 70 only centercaps. they wont be correct and are a lil pricey but maaaan are they nice.

Nah, Buick mags are played out more especially 15 inchers way too big on your car.
You cannot tell anybody's cars apart with them.
They all look the same. with that said poverty cars are popular because they look great with the steel wheel painted the same color as the car.

Its a blank slate... poverty setups are good if you can run a wide steel wheel in the back.

15 inchers too big? so im supposed to run 14 x 7s and blow the rear tires off everytime i touch the throttle? i needed 15 x8 to hold the 275s and i still blaze them. maybe if i had a 454 chevelle i wouldnt have that problem but we are talkin buick power here lol

as far as not being able to tell anyones car apart.. there are no a-body buicks around to tell them apart! i got to about 3-4 cruises a week, two of them are big ones and the one was the biggest weekly cruise east of the miss and its a shock if i see another 70-72 GS or Skylark.

besides, its a buick.. that poverty stuff is for chevys. Buicks (and Olds) are supposed to be higher quality machines in the GM food chain. " Go Fast with Class"

I would invest the $10k in a better car that has resale value.

Unless you want a toy to play with.

Why do so many of these cars have the a/c disabled? I live in the land of scorched earth and in the summer a/c is a must have item. It's not like the old gm compressors die that easily. I just see too many adds for classic cars that have an evap case and no compressor.
