wheel/tire opinion

I'm sorry, but "rubber band" tires just don't look right on a classic musclecar, in my opinion. There needs to be some sidewall, the way God intended for them to look...
Joe Padavano

I'm with Joe on this one. And if Joe and God are on my side, I know I'm in the right

IMHO
The only thing worse is those Lambo doors

Rubber bands are in the eye of the beholder. I hate rubber bands too but my idea of a rubber band probaly start long after your version starts.

So you telling me you dont want to see my thread on how to install lambo doors on a 66 Cutlass convertible

NOT!!

Sorry,

Just my opinion

But that's why they have horse races.

People like different horses.

Sure I'll look at any thread you choose to post. Once again, IMHO, If you want Lambo doors, buy a Lambo

note to self: Keep your opinions to yourself.

I'm in agreement with you on that one. I simply just don't like them on vintage cars. I think they look fine on new cars, so it's not the tires/rims itself.

I guess I'm just not a resto-mod guy. To me, if I want a car that drives like a new car, I'll simply go and buy a new car. I want my classic car to drive and sound like a classic car--the way they did coming out of the showroom or the day or two after. That's what's fun for me.

Anyway, to each his own. I'll never stand there and knock a guy's car, because, even if I don't agree with what he did with it, he's most likely poured alot of sweat and money into it and feels the same way about his car that I do about mine.

And Jim, I think stating your opinion on something is fine. It's when you start directing it at people is when trouble can begin. In the end, I think your personal opinion can be seen in what you do with your car anyway--the car itself says it all. haha.

I like wood spoke wagon wheels like they used on Studebaker wagons in the 1800's with steel bands. These would look great on Dan's 46 Olds. Traction might be a little off, but hey what the h$*l

I want to put a set of 22" Dub Pimpstars on the Vista if they would fit. Then I could have pics of SSIII's in any color I want on them, the possibilities are endless.
It would be sort of staying true to the original look, at least while you're moving.

I have to start looking for that extra 12K I had laying around.
