No one is infallible. Admitting the mistake can be difficult but making it right sets things right. You're setting a good example Ron.

It was not necessary to make a public issue with this. Should have stayed between you and those directly involved.

I can't seem to find your business card at the moment. I believe it says something to the affect of it's all about the dash. It is. The ip that you sold me a few years ago has to be the best looking part of my car. You do incredible work. Everyone has their good days and their bad days.

Of all I have seen about you on this site, this is by far the first negative I have read AND it came from you. I know you will make it right.

On the golf course, maybe, but not when you're in business. You charge people money for something, and you're only allowed to have good days. If your product is not up to snuff, you simply don't deliver it. You don't hand it over with all its warts, take the person's money, and say "sorry, I was having a bad day."

It takes a lot to speak up on an open forum. For that you have my respect.
I hope everyone is able to work out their issues and get things back in order.

good luck to all

Jaunty..You seem to pounce on the weak.I am not that guy..I am not apologizing for the Quality of the work I supplied.I am apologizing for the tone of the conversation to an individual.I will make it right. It is a minimal correction. But I guess I put it out it there didnt I. 4 weeks ago I buried a friend and business associate that was mauled by 2 Dogs in Metamora Michigan .Every day I get more and more of the details.I am out of my game..Jaunty ....Stay out of mine.

All service businesses have made mistakes over the years. The measure of a man is not that he doesn't make mistakes, it's how he handles them when it does happen. Sorry about your friend, I read the article and it was very unfortunate and sad that something like that happens. The loss of a very close friend or family member is devastating and can seriously affect an attitude. I know from first hand experience when trying to juggle your normal responsibilities and things related to the crisis. Hopefully you can move past it and get your life back in order.

Eric thanks for your suport ..I am more upset with the way I handled it .That is why I posted the apology .Craig Sytsma was a Great young man..Did a lot in the One Off Heat Treating as it pertained to Camshafts and Crankshafts. He was brilliant. His 28 year Old son put it best..My father was a Solid Father and a Solid Man.He stayed in his own Lane..Which means he didnt bother anyone..How does a young man come up with that..I am getting details and it was gruesome ..I have so much going on that I am missing steps. Thanks for your support..Life is short...

Ron Im sorry for the loss of your friends, these losses are something you never get over, but you learn to cope with them, live on and have the good memories. I lost a wife in 97 to cancer she was only 37. I still miss her alot, always will. However i do have great memories of her. It takes time, theres nothing anyone can say to make it easier for you, just time. We all know the quality of your work and know you will make it right. I hope the customer understands what you have been going through and will accept your appologies, and give you the chance to show him what you can do.

Good luck
Steve

Every one has off days your not human if you don't that's why there are so many check's and balances when working in critical environments.

Putting it out there for all to see good on you, willing to make it right is what counts.

Sorry for the loss of your friend

Why do doctors have insurance?

I remember when my dad past away, my son at the funeral home, put his arms around me at 8 years old and expressed some really compassionate heart felt comments that caught me off guard and brought tears to my eyes. He seemed much older than his years that day.

Learning to promptly admit we were wrong and make an apology and or amends takes courage. It ain't easy to do....especially not openly, so my hat is off to you sir.
Making it right is also not easy so best of luck.

Ron, you're not the first , nor will you be the last to speak out emotionally. It happens. As far as I'm concerned you didn't do anything that any one of us can't relate to. Move forward having learned a valuable life lesson.

I can appreciate how the death of a frien can change life's balances. I'm sorry about your friends senseless death, unfortunately the only support I can give you is through words. Than you for being someone who cares.

BTW I never make mistakes either...
