Do Pres. Candidates drive Oldsmobiles

What to Barak&Joe and John&Sarah Drive? Something interesting or boring?

I don't know but Richard Nixon had a 1950 Oldsmobile. He mentions it in his famous Checkers speech. I know that McCain had a Corvette in about 61-62. That is as good as I can do.

No idea. I guess the two most infamous Oldsmobile Connections (remember that ad campaign?) in politics were Ted Kennedy's 1967 Delmont 88 and Malcolm X's 1965 98.

MCcain drives a CTS and O'bama drove a 300C with the hemi until he was "outed" for driving a "gas guzzler". He then got an Escape hybrid. How PC.

I think you're absolutely right, this could get ugly fast. I haven't really been on here that long but I know enough to have faith in the regulars here.

Could be a fun topic, but to be safe I agree we should keep threads on the topic of Oldsmobiles. I love to talk politics and religion, but on this kind of forum those things could get out of hand in a hurry and hurt the brotherhood of Oldsmobiles!

BEFORE WE LOCK THIS THREAD!!! There is a pic of Gov Palin on the Drudge report standing next to a "mystery" car...it is a sports car coupe, with a C3 Stingray style back window...maybe an Avanti??? I really want to know what the car is, regardless of the politics...it looks cool and I can't ID it.
