New Parts ?

I finally got the parts I ordered, Powermaster mini starter, milodon aluminum water pump, along with an accel coil and module, I must say the water pump looked much shinier in the picture. Its very dull but its much lighter than the cast iron pump.
My ? is.... the water pump says to use a high flow thermostat but I've heard they are NFG. What do you guys think?

Why do you want to replace the Robert Shaw thermostat? I thought it was the preferred high flow thermostat.
