I'm looking at a 49 olds 88 convertible but I'm concerned that it may not have it's original engine The numbers I found are 8A428657H and it was located on the driver's side just under the head. From what I can find that sounds like a motor from a 1950. I've read that in 49 the serial number would've been much lower and it would've been located on the front above the water pump. Can anyone help me?
