A little pricey but I think it is kind of cool. It is not something I would put in a restored W30 though.

These are made by Classic Instruments. It's pretty cool, the rocket exhaust changes color depending on rpm. I thought about getting one, but they're expensive.

I have two problems with this tach. First, that's a BOATLOAD of money for a rocket that lights up. Second, and more importantly, this tach has a fairly small arc from 0-8000 RPM. There's only about 90 degrees of travel for the 0-6000 range that any Olds motor will normally see. Compare that to a tach like this, where you have about 180 deg of travel from 0-6000:

In fact, this photo provides a pretty obvious comparison of the two styles. Which one it easier to read accurately?

With my experience of aftermarket gauges, I'll only use Autometer.

I have one of these in my car, only white faced. Works good for $39.97!
