Just finished my 1971 Cutlass s

Just finished up freshening up my 71 cutlass s. Thanks to this forum for all the information and parts that I needed in order to finish it. Now its time to enjoy it for a bit then sell it. Car was bought new in Mesa az. Has all original sheet metal. I straightened and polished all moldings. New bumpers, weather stripping, mirrors, wiring, suspension, brakes, engine, trans, 15" American racing wheels with new BFG tires, lots more and what a journey it was. Started in early may and finished last week.

thanks again to everyone that helped and offered advise.

Leche

Congrats! I really like the way your paint looks. You must have picked a good shop to go with black and have it come out so nice.

Thumbs up Just finished my 1971 Cutlass s

That's a very very nice vehicle.
I'd say you accomplished quite a lot in 8 months.
You have thoughts of selling already?
Post some more pics when you get a chance.
BTW where are you from?

1971 Cutlass

Im in phoenix az. Ya the body work took awhile. Shop? what shop LOL...Ya I bought this car in 2002 with the idea of doing a flip. Well I never got around to flipping it and I told myself that I would make it a very nice car that I could enjoy for a couple of months before I sell it and move onto my next project. I really love this car but my heart lies in convertibles. So ill sell it and purchase a 68-72 convertible to start on. If anyone knows of someont interested in it let me know. Im not even sure what its worth. I was thinking 10-12 range. Is that outrageous? Ill post more pics here real soon.

What a nice looking end-product. Good for you. It sounds like your refresh was thorough and I hope you come out well when you sell it, I don't see why you wouldn't. Mine may end up for sale when I'm finished too but I'm getting a little attached to it. I'd be a lot more attached if mine was a four speed car, that's what I prefer for sure.

1971 cutlass

That's probably why it took me so long to get to this car. I am definitely attached to it after having it for so long and now that its done and driving I like it more and more everyday. If it was a convertible with a 455 or ls-1 it would stay in my garage LOL!
