Does anyone know where to find the rectangular pieces of tape that go on the rectangular outside door handles such is found on a 1987 Cutlass?

I know they used to sell them at just about every parts store, but now that I need some, I can't seem to find them anymore.

 

What color?

 

Try 1/2" 3M decal stripe tape. They're the ones that made the GM originals you'd get over the counter at the dealer anyway. Black is 72702.


Problem is...you have to buy it by the roll. If you go to a body shop or body shop supply place, they MIGHT give you a length to match or be able to buy it rather cheap. Get at least a foot. I think they're about 5.5" long.

GM part number for black would be 20179227 for the die cut strips already to length. 60" roll is 20147189. I remember I went to order two pieces of this for my car a while back when they still sold it. Obviously, you'd order two, right? I got two 60" rolls. Wasn't expecting that.

 

what color? i have a few rolls that were "picked up from the factory" in lansing. these were used in the repair area,so im not sure if they are pre cut or in complete roll. let me know
