Save money !!!

I order a gas tank from inline tube for my 67 Cutlass for $249.
It arrived in a Spectra box from spectra.
I went on Rockauto dot com and looked up the part #,their price for the same Spectra part $132
That's almost 1/2 price !!
Same thing for the tank straps.
I'm not knocking inline tube, they've been great so far , BUT

lesson learned....ALWAYS CHECK ROCKAUTO FIRST !!

RA is hard to beat. They also have a lot of weather strip stuff. Also handling Shermann body panels for some vehicles. Just bought 2 panels for one of my trucks.

I've pointed this out several times, but once again:

There isn't enough of a market for these parts to support more than one or two manufacturers. Nearly all of the repro parts houses get these parts from one or at most two factories, usually in China. The biggest-name repro houses will NEVER be the least expensive sources. You are paying for convenience. Some people prefer one-stop-shopping, some prefer the thrill of the hunt to find the lowest prices.

This is why I never buy from Year One or BAP. Fusick has some stuff no one else has, only because he went out after the repop rights. But I use RA, Northern Auto Parts, Summitt, The Parts Place Inc, USA Parts Supply for most of what my wife can't score right from her store.
