Yes that's right, front screen has already been done and I've done all the side glass. It's just the rear left to do which is split and leaking!

Just that it was the first time I heard it referred to as a screen seal. First thing I thought of with a screen seal was the hood lacing in front of the cowl screen. Kind of like knowing the difference between boot being a trunk deck, or a rubber seal I guess. Terminology in automotives is sooooo confusing at times.

Especially between the UK and the US!
Over here a screen is the mesh thing that goes over a window to keep the bugs out!
bonnet = hood
boot = trunk
etc..

I had a sheet somewhere that had a huge list of those translations - was very interesting...

Great observation Rob! I should have looked under his avatar and I would have seen that. Boot = trunk?? No way...

Boot = what you do to a guest (usually in laws) who overstays their welcome ....
Boot = what they put steel toes in
Bonnet = what some women wear on their noggin
Bonnet = the compartment of a car covering the engine. Could be front or rear..think Rolls Royce or Porsche 911
tire = round rubber/steel thingy that you put on yer wheel before you put it on the car
tyre = same thing - but can be made of rubber or steel. Like Light rail vehicles use a steel tyre.
Bodyman = a 'qualified and certified auto frame and component restoration specialist'
Panel Beater = Bodyman
highway = 'the go fast road'
carriage way = the same thing?
Police = The law, the fuzz, the cops, boys in blue, the "Yes sir, officer" guy etc
Bobby = Police, not someones name
mudder = a person who applies joint compound to sheet rock joints.
mudder = the lady who borned you.

I'd love to see that list.....we could have some fun with it. Due apologies to aristellier for jacking the thread.
