cat on car

I turn my back for two seconds and our cat jumps on the engine, wasn't sure if I should scream at him or laugh knowing he likes the car as much as I do

Years ago I had a good buddy who's kitten got up into the engine compartment... after he started the engine that cat's name was changed to Tripod!
(btw, he lived a long and happy life with 3 legs)

That not so bad. As long as nothing was scratched. Maybe just a good talking to

I left my windows open for several hours in between cruises... went outside and there was a horrible smell in the car, like something died. Turns out the cat next door (which was really ratty and never let inside - ya know... those types of folks) was sleeping on my back deck in the hot sun. It was most unpleasant.

We have a lot of semi-feral cats in the neighborhood... My pickup has the back window that slides open. One morning after leaving it open all night, I hop in the truck and start it. Next thing I know one of them flies right past my head through that back window... And I went back inside to change my underwear.

I like cats, but love cars...the cat would go somewhere away from the car

We have had 2 Family cats and with some stern teaching we never had to worry about them getting on our countertops. I can't stand to go to someones house and find their cat walking on the tables or countertops.

What's the trick to getting them off the counter tops - that's all he does!

Trade him in for a dog!

Just kidding, but try the squirt bottle/gun trick. If water does not phase him, add just a little tabasco sauce to it.

Noise works well too. If you can make a loud noise the instant he jumps up there, it should scare him off.

Repeat either until he doesn't jump up there anymore.

Tried all of those, guess we just need to be more consistent, I already have a dog!

The real purpose of OAI scoops in the hood!

P1010261.jpg

To keep the kitty from rolling off while he sleeps

The car obviously needs painted so I'm not going to sweat it if he wants to soak up the sun on a Fall afternoon.
