The Fulton Burger Classic Car Show - Sherwood Park

Today was gorgeous! Beautiful 75° + with gentle 7-10 mph breeze, nice blue sky for most of the event. The Fulton Market Burger was doing a promotion with K97 (local rock) on site and sponsored a classic car show on their parking lot. It was AWESOME. Lots of great rides, and 4 Oldsmobiles present - from 1957 - 1976.

The good folks from Fultons primed us with their prime rib burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes etc OMG that was like value city - and the food was 11/10. I'll definitely go back for more. Hope they host the show again.

There was a great cross section of resto mods, trucks, vettes, a corvair, DMC (for sale locally) and euro sports represented too! Here are some photos; enjoy!

Seems to be a certain Cutlass missing from those pics. Alberta always has nice car shows.

Nope, Ken's is hiding just behind the chevy grocery getter wagon. You want a pic of his car? It's on all the websites for 73-77 442, VFN etc. You really have to see it in person to appreciate how nice this car is and much Ken loves and cares for it! It's his pride and joy. Why today he even told me his wife comes second to the car.....Hope Karen doesn't read his emails. Here's one of my favorite pics of his car.

Talked to the owner. He bought it in 64 with 37,000 miles on it. Since then it's accumulated over 380,000. It is as nice up close as it is in the pics. Those wheel covers are pretty spectacular aren't they?

I was kind of partial to the 52 Chevy coupe resto mod. It looks better up close than in the pics, and it's a built in Canada car. I didn't know they put the body number, engine number etc on the cowl tag back in the day. It was parked right next to a Delorean that was obviously missing it's flux capacitor

Now I never said that Karen comes second to the car...she said that it seems sometimes that I love the car more than her. I answer honestly and say "Don't be silly...I've had the car longer. Yes, the car is also on Motortopia where "Dr. Olds" (she) is claiming that the car is her's and she uses the picture above to show "her" car.

I wonder how much a good Super 88 goes for these days. I'd like to modify one all custom. Some really cool looking one's out there totally customized.

What's the difference between a 1957 Delta 88 and 1957 Super 88 ?

I believe there's no such thing as a 1957 Delta 88. In 57 it was the Super 88, then in 58 it became the 'Dynamic' 88. Delta didn't come into the picture until after the Delmont 88. So I think the Delta 88's first year was 1968? Someone out there with more big car knowledge will correct this if it's wrong.

You're right, I read the information incorrectly.

I read "88" and my brain must have inserted "Delta" in there for some reason.

Looks like a nice show, and actually going to a huge one here in the Detroit area later this morning. Woodward Dream Cruise. Have a few friends in a Corvette club that rented out a parking lot, and gonna be 75 Vette's in that lot alone. Actually have a new Vette myself, but just taking my daily ride to the central park for $10 buck's and walking around. Lots of Canada folks come over for this too.
