Post your dealer name and zone code
Since there is not a compreshensive list of Oldsmobile dealers and their zone codes, Ive been collecting them when I find them online. So far with the help of Kurt Shubert, I have over 200 dealers/codes on a spreadsheet. Reason I am doing this is, no one has done it yet, it needs to be done, and guys with POP dealers codes but no dealer name can find their dealer.
So if you know your dealer name and zone code (5 digit code on the window sticker/buildsheet/protecto-plate) please post them here.

That is actually off of the "Authorized Selling Dealer Plate Imprint" - not Protecto Plate, but the Protecto plate does have 07-312 on it as well.

The only one I have the POP with dealer code for is the Toro. I'll try to get it sometime this weekend.
However I do know where all but one of them was sold new.
Blue 1964 Starfire: Swanson Cadillac-Olds, Danville VA (out of business 1998)
1969 Toronado: Carl Johnson Olds, Reidsville NC. It was delivered to Black in Greensboro and sold by Johnson as a dealer swap. Carl Johnson Olds became Nelson Cole Olds-Pontiac-GMC and then Cardinal before ceasing business in 2004.
1974 Hurst/Olds: Massey Motor Company (Cad-Olds), Kinston NC. Still in business as a Cad-GMC and import dealer.
1976 Ninety Eight: Stohlman Oldsmobile, Alexandria VA. Still in business with imports.
1978 Custom Cruiser: Gowen Oldsmobile, Charlotte NC. Not sure about Gowen as I think they were an Olds stand-alone dealer.
The green 64 Starfire came out of Massillon-Canton OH area, but don't know original selling dealer.
However I do know where all but one of them was sold new.

According to the original window sticker, my '68 has a dealer code of 25-010 but no dealer name. This Lansing car was originally delivered to Wenatchee, WA, and the build date of the car is 04A (first week of April 1968). In researching Olds dealerships in Wenatchee, the one that comes up repeatedly is Pohlman Motors, 125 S. Wenatchee Avenue, Wenatchee WA. However, I presently have no way of attaching Pohlman Motors to dealer code 25-010. Hopefully, someone else out there has this answer!

I have since found out that 25-010 is the dealer code for the zone office in Portland, OR. My car was originally a "brass hat" car for one of the zone office managers before it went to Murphy Motors, 333 S. 4th, Coos Bay, OR 97420, in July 1968 to be sold by that dealership. Murphy Motors sold Oldsmobiles, Cadillacs and Plymouths and was in Coos Bay from 1953 to 1972. From a '67 F85 V8 sport coupe (334077m218989) owner's packet I bought at a swap meet .... the folder has the dealer's name & address - the P-O-P has the dealer code. I'll "assume" they belong together?

Bulldog, if you've ever had GM Canada (George Zapora) do a breakdown of your car, the dealer code should be on that.

This aint gonna help you but Hansel Nowling had another dealership called Nowling Olds. One for his first name and one for his last name.

Does help because someone else mentioned that......guy had a weird name. And thanks to you I just found and saved a picture of Nowling Olds in Downey showing brother Ken Nowling after some promotion in 1958. The more I find the more fun the restoration of my olds becomes..........

Ken, I do have those documents from GM Canada (George Zapora) and the only thing that I see is the dealer name. I have been in touch with the dealership and they even sent me 2 new period dealer emblems as well as 2 keychains at no charge. However I never thought to ask for their zone code.

That 08-418 code on the POP for the '72 Toronado was Mihely Buick-Pontiac Inc in Kenton, OH, was there from 70-81.
That's Zone 81 Dealer 052
The Chebby, Poncho and Buick guys have dealer code lists they've compiled online. Finding the code if it was also one of those type dealers is possible, especially if they're still in business, there's nothing for just Oldsmobile dealers back in the day.
Oldsmobile is in the dealer name with other GM marques they sell or they're just GM dealers and don't say what kind of car they sell in the name.
A lot are a name and then "Motors" or something so you can find some dealer codes if you have the name or the dealer location if you have the code.
My POP doesn't have the dealer name, I found that on the new vehicle warranty paperwork that goes in the plastic sleeve deal with the owner's manual, consumer info booklet and POP in '71. The original owner's name and address is also on the warranty (still lives there) also has the date of delivery, my '71 was delivered on 1/6/70?

Hey T.K. I was just thinking about this yesterday and then noticed this thread. Boy!, you have your work cut out for you on this one. The list I gave you not long ago was solely from memory and as I type this, I distinctly remember a two-page listing of dealers that were in just our zone (mid-Atlantic) that we swapped cars with. I wonder if OCA or someone like the Sloan Museum might have a more comprehensive list of Oldsmobile dealers. Have you tried contacting them? How many Oldsmobile stores was there in
the Tar Heel State? That is where red W-34 is from. It is believed it was Bob Brannan's former company ride, then sold it for 10% over cost. Sometime down the road (no pun intended), another big wheel from GM (PUN
), from Deroit Diesel division had the red W-34 for a while.AS far as the gold W-34 is was sold new at an Oldsmobile dealership in Palto Alto, CA.
Sorry no POP on either the blue, red or gold W-34s.
