Have been looking for not so new parts for my 71 olds supreme and started wondering where you guys get your parts from.? I was going to start hitting my local yards around Abilene, any of you around my area have any good suggestions. I usully go to FM600 for other parts, dont think they carry the stuff i am looking for. Also do any of you order stuff on line from yards?

 

In most areas, it's best to start local, and work your way out, on the phone.
Some yards, [at least up here] are tied into most others, with the computor, and can offer a 'locater service' and the shipping may be cheaper, as they sometimes run their own trucks, or 'relay' the parts between yards, depending on size.
Sometimes it pays to make a friend, and stick with one place, and don't be afraid to 'haggle' before you order, with cash in hand!

 

If its available at Fusick, I start there, if not I look locally, and if still no luck, I put the word out right here on CO. I have had very good luck with the folks on this board. What are you looking for currently?
