I need to replace the speedometer cable however their are varying sizes available for a 98 in the catalog. Would anyone know the exact size and style I would need to order

 

The only differences should be in whether the car has cruise control or not. 1968 88s and Ninety Eights mostly drive the speedometer off the left front wheel and the cable is common to 1965-70.

Get one listed for car without cruise and it should be the one. It will generally be the longest available as CC uses two shorter cables- one from wheel to cruise unit, one from cruise unit to speedometer.

Once in a while you'll run up on a 1965-70 car that drives it from the transmission. There was some option combination that used that setup, but I can't remember what it was offhand.
