hi every1 i just bought a beautiful pair of 69-72 bucket seats because im selling my complete interior 2night, i need 2 get the bucket seat backs off b4 the guy gets here 2 pick them up, the rear push button is holding me up i dont know how 2 remove it with out damaging the seat backs!! can some1 please tell me the right way 2 do it

 

Directions from the Fisher Body Manual:

1. Remove head restraint from seat back.

2. Using a flat-bladed tool, carefully snap off seat back lock push button and escutcheon assembly (I believe in is held in place with two metal clips, feels like you're going to break it, but if you go slow it should be fine) and remove two screws securing seat back panel to lock assembly.

3. Tilt seat back forward and remove three screws securing bottom of seat back panel to seat back frame.

4. Pull bottom of seat back panel outward and lift panel upward to disengage panel from upper retainers; then, remove panel from seat back.

 

well i ended up busting the plastic chrome push buttons, but thats not the worse part there was a mouse in the seats and it got loose in my house it ran under my fridge!! i jumped and screamed like a bi--h!!!! scared me 2 death my kids ran than laughted at me!!!!!! look at how big this nest is!! it huge!!!! it completly shreaded the build sheet i can still read some of the options
