1970 Cutlass OAI Hood...HELP

I have a line on a 1970 OAI hood, that the owner claims is original. How can I confirm his story?

i just went threw this too, first look for the screen, than inspect it 2 see if it looks old, look for rust, and the light, if you see big chrome rivits everywhere on the underside its not real
