Olds story

I Just turned 49,and I've always liked Oldsmobiles. The first Olds I can remember was an early 60's Starfire.I was about 15 or 16.A friend of mine lived on a farm as did I.He had a part time job at a garage/junk yard/used car lot.The owner gave him the Starfire to drive back and forth to work.He got there by driving throw the fields.(not old enough for drivers license)We put that car through hell! I remember It had a big motor I think a 440,I don't know how fast we went through the fields but I'm sure it wasn't as fast as it seamed.Bottoming out over diversion ditches, dust flying, side swiping the feed troughs and trees doing donuts no seat belts.Man if I caught my son doing that! I would love to have that car know,I mean be for we got hold of it.
Dose anyone else have a story like this?

Wont top it but. 1949 my father went with me and helped me putchase a 1939 Olds Coupe and pay with payments. Had to almost nail my mom to the floor she was so angry. I did make all the payments and it served me for several years untill I got drafted into the Army. Andy

Helped a friend bring his 74 cutlass to the grave yard about 20 years ago--I was pushing him with my pick-up which had a HD push bar on the front. I was slamming him down the road and at the stoplights. when we arrived the bumper on the cutlass was unscathed--amazing. If I hit someone else like that just once it would have caused major damage, insurance claims etc. It was his brother who had a 67 442 that inspired me to get the 65.
