What are your plans? If the engine is stock then a stock th350 rebuild will be fine. Have you called around to any local transmission shops for prices? They might have a little better deal, but that price sounds about average.

Its easier in the long run to stay with a auto transmission if that's what your car came with.

Need more info. Is the engine a stock 350, built 350, or is it a 455, stock or built. all may have different requiremts

In that case I would rebuild the 350 tranny the price is about average.

 

Dat's a lot of money to rebuild da transmission. You can buy da good THM 350'd's and da 400's for 150 bucks all da day.
I have da rebuilt 400 sitting in da barn with da converter and I can't give da thing away.
