I used these people. Excellent service. I had them ship one car in an open trailer from Kentucky to New Mexico in 2021 and then two cars shipped in an enclosed trailer from New Mexico to Michigan in 2022. They took great care of my cars every time.

I would use them again if I had need to ship a car.

Auto transport

I just used Auto Fury transport out of Bloomingdale Illinois to haul two cars down to Tampa Florida in November. Enclosed modern semi trailers. Excellent communication and service. Would definitely use them again.

Nice 71 442. Was it the same car at BJ Palm Beach last weekend?

Check with @gearheads78 . Depending on where his travels have taken him, he may be able to fix you up.

Hey Texas 442,
No not the same car but does look exactly the same. I saw the crazy price that sold for. $121k I think.

I've watched him elevate his game over the past few years. He hauls some sweet rides (including a Ridler winner).

My Father recently used Reliable to ship his C6 Corvette from Kentucky to Northern Illinois. A good friend of mine used Intercity a few years ago to ship his Ford Pickup from California to S. Carolina. Both were trouble free.

I second Montway. Used in 2024, enclosed shipment from D.C. to western Montana. Single trailer, $899.

Wow I must have signed up with Montway in an alternate universe. I shipped a Dodge Dart from Phoenix to Atlanta, 1100 bucks, and the communication couldn't have been worse. It was on a carrier with six other cars. This was a couple months ago.

Montway effing blows.

They are NOT a shipping company!

They are brokers with a fancy website and good search engine optimization. All they do is put your shipment on U-ship and hope someone will pick it up near your requested dates. The broker skims some $$ off the top and they couldn't give a $hit less about you or your car. And guess what- if your car is damaged during shipping you better hope the hotshot hauler has insurance. If no one picks up the shipment they will tell you it'll be more money until someone picks it up, so the initial quote is a joke. The "company" relies heavily on deception and hope. Do your homework and you'll see.

This is meaningless. Almost EVERYBODY is a broker. The actual trucks and truckers themselves are independent operators who contract with the shipping companies. When a company like Montway or whatever gets a job, they post it on a site visible to truckers, and any of the truckers who are affiliated with them can grab it. They don't have their own army of trucks. Very few of the shipping companies do. It wouldn't make financial sense to do that.

No, it's not meaningless. Its more than easy to deal with an actual shipper/trucker direct and skip the montway $hit show.

I agree. I talked to and met with the actual owner of Auto Fury Transport who transported my cars. He owns the trucks and the drivers kept me updated on actual delivery times. Price and delivery schedule up front. No middle man. Felt reassured they would take care of my cars and they did.

I paid $0.43 per loaded mile for my 2024 move to Montana, & $1.76/mile for a 2019 move from Long Island. Former Montway, latter private. Both enclosed. No question on private quality being better, but at 4x the cost.

I paid about $1.14 per mile I guess. 1220 mile trip. $1400 per car enclosed trailer. The weather was getting bad up north and I didn't want to take a chance on an open trailer. Maybe not the cheapest but I felt very comfortable my cars would arrive safe.

I've used Montway but that was years ago. After reading the above posts, I would have to agree one should think twice. If need be, I have a 20 enclosed trailer, I will just go get whatever I buy and bring it on back. I just sold my 1994 CS convertible via Classic Auto Mall up in PA but if it did not sell within the next few months, I was planning on keeping it and going up to PA to get it back. I checked out shippers, Montway included, and I was repulsed by what they wanted to ship it. We resolved to just go and get it, visit relatives, etc.

Just one more thing with this. Wife says no more cars, so the above scenario is now moot anyway...........

I used him as well from Houston, Tx. to Birmingham, Al.

Very pleased with service and price!
