Shipping a car from CA to NYC
I had good luck with Sherpa. It's not the cheapest, but you don't want to skimp on this (granted I only have a sample size of one). I've heard some stories of people going with the cheapest thing out there only to have their cars disappear. Of course another option if it's drivable you can drive it home like one of those "will it run and drive X miles" revival videos. One of my favorites of those was when one of them drove a 70's Ford station wagon 2k miles with no heat, no reverse gear, and virtually no oil pressure.
Carlos the Shipping Broker 1-786-725-2239 used him many times.
The car always got here in one piece, you can text him to and from address and get a Quote or call i prefer text.
Cali to NY $1500-$2300 depending on season open to enclosed,
Good luck! most are brokers unless you call a big big company like horseless carriage or Reliable
he will take info charge a deposit when you get a ride usually $150-$500 the rest on delivery,

He is out of Dallas so the NY side might be out of area. This is the car I had hauled, in his trailer.
My son used Montway to move a Hellcat from D.C. to Montana. Went well, other than the driver wanting to unload the car on his snowy street, and not being versed in RWD. Ultimately the trailer was backed right up to his garage door, so tires never saw the white stuff.
Just to finish the thought, when I had the two cars shipped from NM to MI, it was January, and I had them shipped enclosed rather than on an open trailer because I didn't want them getting winter weather on them, salt, and all that over the nearly 2,000 mile trip. The total cost for the two cars was just under $3,000 ($2,960, to be exact).
