1963 Olds 88, sway bar to frame bushing size
1963 Olds 88, sway bar to frame bushing size
I have a 63 Olds Dynamic 88 and I'm not understanding why my car has a 1" sway bar and most vender are saying my car has a 3/4" sway bar. I found a bushing set on eBay that is NOS for a 63 Oldsmobile #383868. I'm not sure if it's for the full size or F85. It looks exactly like mine and the seller is saying that the inside diameter is 13/16". With that being said. will that work with a 1" sway bar. Charle Jones will know the answer. Attached is a web link to eBay. I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks, Anthony

There is exactly the same question answered in a recent thread. I believe Charlie Jones cleared that up in that thread.
I think 45G0502 is the one you need. Click on the INFO button for size.

Your first mistake is assuming that aftermarket vendors actually have a clue as to what is correct for your car. You will find that frequently that information is incorrect. Most vendors assume that whatever fits a Chevy applies to all same-year, same-platform GM cars. I look up part numbers in the factory parts books and search that way. RockAuto listings often list the crossover factory numbers for their parts.
