65 Cutlass fron sway bar upgrade

I just installed a 71 Trans Am factory sway bar and new rear Monroe shocks on the rear , wow what a major difference in cornering, waiting for my rear f41 rear sway bar to arrive , that will also make a big difference in getting rid of the marshmallow effect!

Nice upgrade, were you able to use the stock brackets for the anti sway bar?

Big front sway bar is the single biggest improvement one can make to suspension on their vintage “A” body.

Second would be a different ratio steering box.

When I owned my first 67 Cutlass vert, I installed a rear anti-sway bar from a 77 Monty Carlo. It made a HUGE difference. Gonna do the front and rears on my current 67 when I get the chance. Already did the Jeep GC steering box and it is well worth the effort! Modern (relatively) improvements to old relics.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box is a direct bolt in. Your original steering unit has 4 mounting bolts and the GC unit only uses 3. The original uses a flared fitting on the pressure hose. The GC uses a later o-ring fitting. There are entire threads dedicated to what parts to order that will adapt between the pump and steering box as well as the "rag joint" that adapts between steering rod and steering box. Everything else is a direct fit. Use the original bell crank! I made the change because the re-seal kit did not fix the leak on my original steering unit and the GC replacement was $25 from U-Pull it and the rebuilt unit was way more.

I think it is 93~97. Read through this thread, it has all the info you will ever want to know about the swap.
