Battery Tray Question

Does anyone with a 1969 W31 have a picture of the original battery tray for their car? The battery tray on my car is unlike any battery tray I have seen and uses the style that has 2 rods on the side going to a bracket on top of battery with 2 nuts to secure battery. Also has 3 Xs in middle of tray and rubber pad covering top and bottom of tray. Been searching for anything that looked remotely like it and all I find is mostly solid trays with battery hold down with one bolt at bottom of tray. Wondering if this tray is unique to W cars with the OIA scoops under bumper?

That sounds like a aftermarket replacement.

Post a pic.

Your tray, or at least the hold downs, are aftermarket replacements. That tray is "unique" to the auto parts section in Pep Boys, Sears Auto Centers, etc.

You might be able to get an OE battery tray from Fusick.

Look on page 41 in the current Fusick Catalog that Jesse posted a link to.

Bill, If my memory serves me correctly, the tray in the car was an aftermarket. Craig
