64 cutlass 330 motor question

Hello Olds Folks, my 64 Cutlass 330 motor is an odd duck.
I'm wondering if the starter motor is unique to that motor or might
be common to other Olds or GM motors and where
I might look to get one.
Thanks for your help
Tom

The 1964 330 has a lot of one-year-only parts (like the heads, shaft-mounted rocker arms, water pump, timing tab, and balancer), but the starter motor will interchange with those of any RWD 1964-90 Olds V8. Yeah, there are differences (high-torque on big blocks and the low-torque starters on the 307s), but they all bolt up and will work.

If it is for a manual transmission car, there is the issue of needing a case with a threaded hole outboard to attach the support bracket and clutch return spring. I am unsure if this applies to a 64.

If you have the correct starter, I'd suggest getting that one rebuilt locally not exchanged for a rebuilt unit.
