One of the prettiest Vista Cruisers I've seen in a long time

1971. Just looking at it takes me back to that time.

It's so nice to see one so unmolested. These cars were perfect when they were new. No need to mess with them now.

Bidding up to $25,000 with reserve not met as of this writing. Would love to own it.

Looks just like it came off the showroom floor. You can almost smell the new interior.

I remember washing those on my Dad's lot when I was a little kid and because I didn't know any better, actually using Pledge on the fake wood paneling. It did make them shine though.

Impressive, what option does this car not have?

I think I would put a set of wire wheel covers on it. I imagine they were available but am not sure. I would keep the whitewalls but use radials which did not come on these.

This is from the 1971 Olds Prestige Brochure. It appears that the only wheelcovers offered for the wagons were A and E. No wire wheels for wagons, or at all for that matter.

It looks like this Vista Cruiser has the A wheelcovers.

When I was a kid a buddy inherited a VC from his Mom. It was a 68 with the 400/400, posi. Great car. I bet it was reasonably fast too. We never gave it a chance. It may as well have been a Town and Country Minivan to us. Just a joke. Would love to have that now. What a nice car these were.

"Blue/bark" is a hilarious way to describe two tone with woodgrain.

I don't know if I'm nostalgic or what but I would love to daily drive one of these for a while. They're just that nice. All the GM A Bodies are. I used to practice this when I was a bit younger. I sold everything I had in the 20 teens and moved to Florida. Bad move as it didn't work for me.

That car is truly stunning! Absolutely love the blue interior and all the options - talk about loaded up!!

I find it interesting where they mounted the power door lock switches on the front door panels. Clearly the location on the rear door panels is a cleaner and preferable location, but the front door panel is quite busy with everything else it has on it - window crank, remote mirror control, power windows. I'd like to see how crowded it is behind that door panel. There's probably not too many VCs out there with this issue.

I THINK that a 2 door and a 4 door power window car puts the rear switch at the same height. I've never seen a 4 door power window A body and looked at it closely, but I know the 2 door rear window switches are above the armrest and really not in an ergonomic spot for anyone.
