The Prettiest One says "Bye" until Spring

Well, I spent about 4 hours out in the garage today with various Meguiars products and the stereo going, giving the prettiest one a nice coat of wax, and conditioning her rubber and vinyl! She was pleased!
I really like the new Dustop cover - so does she!! It is verrry soft! That's what I was looking for! Expensive, but worth it! So she's all tucked in for the winter. I'm going through Cutlass withdrawl already!

Boo-hoo.

I think I see a mouse or rat running across the floor in that one pic.
Relax Sandy, just kidding.

Nice car cover.

You should have been raking leaves then cutting in a driveway with that tractor and forming up for concrete tomorrow morning.

On the next real nice day I'll have to do burnouts in front of your house in my Vista Cruiser now, if it could and I knew where you lived.
I think with that yellow barn in the back it shouldn't be too hard to spot. You do know all proper barns should be red and have a big Mail Pouch Tobacco sign painted on one whole side don't you?

A John Deere colored windmill? Does Larry show those tractors? I hope he's got a hat like they give the guy in the commercial, I'll buy anything if they give me a hat.
A fine homestead in Streetsyltucky has two windmills and two chrome gazing ***** on stands out front in the yard, I'm so envious.
A place with '71 and '72 Cutlasses is interesting too. A lot of the yards in the "Boro" have the mandatory cars on blocks sitting around but that one is special.
In honor of my hero Ghoulardi I have a chrome ball and a very classy vintage pot metal Pink Flamingo displayed in my yard.
I also wear white socks with racing stripes on top with everything, and I don't even live in Parma.

I'll bet you do a mean Polka too!!! I loved Ghoulardi! I remember my brothers watching him! Big Chuck and Hoolihan was more my time!
There are so many fine yard decorations out in the Boro!! I haven't seen the home of the Cutlasses, though. God you should see my nephew's driveway, and around the house! Redneck yard of the week!!

Mom and Jean got Larry the windmill for Christmas several years ago. Jean has one in her front yard - it belonged to her late husband. He was the hat wearer in the family. Larry doesn't wear em!

Can you tell I had a say in picking out the color for the garage? I would love to have a drive out to it.... Larry doesn't really want to put one in, as "it was built for storage and not everyday use". That's why I hate to put the prettiest one out there - I have to wait until the yard is good and dry before I can bring her back out. It gets pretty wet and mushy over there.

He just built the garage in 2007. I wasn't nuts about it being barn shaped, but he was the one paying for it and building it, so what could I say?? He rented one of those big lifts from Home Depot when he was working on the roof. That thing would sway... scary! We have a lot of space upstairs. Well, in the middle of the floor anyhow! The sides are filled with all the stuff we used to have crammed up in the attic! I have a lot of accessories!

I do have the Bounce dryer sheets in the Cutlass to keep the meices away! I've never seen any around, but then again, the cat does a fine job of keeping rodents away! All summer he leaves us pieces of chipmunks and moles and rabbits... he takes good care of us!

You like the car cover, huh? I do too! It is just soooo soft! A real nice guy told me he had one of those, and I figured he wouldn't steer me wrong!!! I forget who it was though!!!

Goodbye For The Winter

I still cant help but marvel about Oldsmobile putting the antenna in the windshield. Sure helps with the car cover. Especially if the car is parked next to a wall. I also use dessicant bags, two each on the floor front & rear and one each in the quarters plus two in the trunk. I scatter Bounce Dryer Sheets all over the garage floor before pulling it in also, and the same sheets are scattered about the interior (drives rodents away). Full tank of gas with Stabul also essential. Years ago I bought a Car Bag that zips closed and found it useless until I slit it down the middle and used it as a moisture barrier between the concrete floor and my car's underside. Never a bit of moisture damage in 15 years!

Yup my baby is put away for the winter too. But mine will be getting extensive work over the winter. I will start with my big brake project first. I should be getting parts for that next week. I have to get the intake ready for EFI. And if all goes well I can get the interior worked on and maybe finished as well as some body work and maybe even paint. It should be a radically different car by spring. Just make sure you visit her from time to time.

Hell, I just started getting "The ugliest one" ready for winter today.
Slapped a manual choke on it and picked up a bunch of antifreeze and great stuff.

Hey Sandy, My grandpa loved to go on the Polka Varieties show.
I have two left feet, hard to get shoes, they always make me buy two pairs.

I remember with those studio lights and old black and white cameras his shiny bald head would make those silvery-flash glares on the TV screen when he was dancing around.
That show was like the certain ethnic American Bandstand.

Turn blue and scratch glass Knif!

Who stoled the keishka from the butcher shop anyway?

I blew up every model I ever built thanks to Ghoulardi. I saw him doing his show live at The Parade of Progress back in the 60's at the convention center and he set camera three on fire.

Shed???

By the look of it I would say that it is a cutlass garage where work can be done over the winter. `It may take some sweet talking but it would not take much to insulate it and you could put in a small oil heater or electric heat. That way anything you wanted to do to the car ( like painting the engine ) could be done while the weather is not good for driving. That way 100% of good weather can be spent driving.

Mom loved Polkas and the Polka Varieties show! We used to get woke up to polka music. I still like it! I danced the polka once. That was enough!!! I liked Bandstand too!!

That would be a wonderful thing!!!! He's not done with the garage, as you can tell. Insulation and dry wall are on the agenda eventually!! But right now, it works!!! We have electric heaters, and a propane heater out there. God help me though, if I would get so much as a DROP of oil on his floor! Hello.... it is supposed to be a garage, isn't it?? I'd be running for my life!!! See Sandy run...

I want to see that movie.

Hey Sandy, Wolfman's filling your head with ideas again, just cover your ears and loudly sing la-la-la-la-la repeatedly.

I would dump a quart of dirty oil on the floor in that barn-like "garage" and get it over with Sandy. He'll give up and won't worry about it anymore once it's stained and it would probably feel really good too. I would be a little concerned with that punching bag hanging there.
If you see a pic of your face on it afterwards I would run, you could always live upstairs.
I used to be really bad worrying about everything being perfect like me too, my German side I guess.
I lean more to my Italian side now, much more laid back but I have the urge to eat pasta, do landscaping and pour concrete all the time.

Believe me... the thought has already crossed my mind - on both!!! LOL

Oh yea , you wanted gold engine paint Well that won't really go with the exterior color of the shed so you best have some floor paint handy for after he's done

Warning warning

Before this paint party gets out of hand.

Be careful of the gold paint.

You remember what happened when Shirley Eaton got too close to the gold paint.

Finally! I needed somebody on my side, us Allan with an "a" stick together.
Tag up Allan R.
Ever see the tag team wrestling on Ren and Stimpy?, break out the flying butt pliers.

Every car has a 710 thing.
You just go to the parts store and ask for a 710 thing when you pick up that Zaino Sandy, Auto Zone in Streetstyltucky has some nice ones.
Denny's is right there too if you're hungry.

What you told me you're husband Larry said is right, you are going to wear all the paint off that car from waxing it so much.

Ren and Stimpy.... Oh God!! He said flying butt pliers.... ha ha ha ha ha ha.....

I'm not going to Autozone and asking what a 710 thingy is!! There's an Advanced Auto right around the corner here, or better yet, I could just go out and cross the street, with my laptop, and ask the guys at the NAPA garage!!!! Is it the booster?
Allan R's is gold (and mine will be too I hope!) This is making me crazy!!! What the heck is it???? Come on... begging is not becoming of me!!

Jamesbo... are you out there??? You seem to know about thingys and thing-a-ma-bobs.... help me out!!??

Since this weather has been so nice (I shouldn't say that - jinx for sure) you can just come over and paint it, and then I'll know what it is! LOL!!!!

Then I'll even take you to Denny's.... and buy!!! LOL!

I can't help it I like beautiful shiny things!!! I lovvvveeee to polish my car!!! It just makes me happy!! That's another thing old grumpyass likes to say - we'll be walking through the store or somewhere, and I'll stop to look at something, and he'll stop and wait and look back at me with this impatient look on his face... and say... "Did something shiny catch your eye again???" LOL!!
