Trailer hitches
Trailer hitches
Is there a reason for anyone to collect add-on trailer hitch out of the seventies? I have what I think is one!😂 It came off a 1972 Cutlass bolted to bumper and floor of the trunk. I remember seeing these when I was a kid and had one on a 1968 Pontiac GP done the same way.

I think these were for light weight fishing aluminum boat trailer. Nothing that had weight. Some had a flat steel bar from frame rail to frame rail that was 3/8 thickness and usually 1" 1/2 wide. The one I took off had a doubler in the trunk 2" long for the bolt heads.
LOL yeah why not. They used to have a race at my home race track call a trailer hitch race! You had to have a hitch capable of tow a trailer down the track before you raced. After you disconnected the trailer you can go qualify. There was 10 seconds and faster cars towing trailers 😂 then they bracket them up. It was fun to see if they could get the job done towing.
