SO one of my buddy's has told me the air cleaner on my 1966 track pack car all chrome with the air ducts on the side is worth upwards of $1500.00 is this true ? does anyone know the value of one of these ? I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT THE TRI POWER SET UP IS WORTH ? I think I am going to start selling the parts off of this, just kidding..

I have seen the W-30 Chrome air cleaners go for 10k for both 66 Tri power and 67, 4 barrel. If this is what you have 1500 is way to low. Not that i think they are worth 10k but that's what they go for these days. There was a thread on here months ago where someone bought one of each for these prices on ebay.

66-67 w30 shrouds - ClassicOldsmobile.com
Tom add that replacement cost in with the insured agreed value policy you should have on your car.
Dam shroud is worth more than the intake & carbs.
Hell, the shroud could be insured by itself. Does your shroud have a number stamped on it? It would be by where the ducts connect.
What do the screws look like that are holding the halves together and how many screws total 4 or 5ea??
Still gota get over to your garage with my bib strapped to my neck.

8 grand is more like the price being sold, lots ask 10k but very very few sell at that..of course it would have to be in excellent shape..thats a numbered unit, non numbered a tad less..They are far and few in between. Those that think they should be cheaper don’t own such a rare commodity..I don’t like the price of rare items either, doesn’t mean they aren’t worth it, I am a just a frugal person. Others have more colorful names for my frugality..lol
This is my car, not day one, but I did it a couple years ago..Mike Richards and Curt Anderson both guided me on making sure it was 100% correct. I even painted the blue line on the upper radiator hose. So its identical to day one.
